Sandra graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology in 2009. She joined our veterinary reception team at Bracebridge Animal Hospital in the summer of 2018. Sandra came to us with 2 years of experience working as an Animal Care Assistant at Brelmar Veterinary Clinic. Sandra has over 20 years of experience traveling to work with competitive horses; including grooming for the Canadian Equestrian Team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil!

With her experience, Sandra is able to jump in and contribute to all aspects of our team. She enjoys the variety in her day here at Bracebridge Animal Hospital; greeting clients as the first face they see when they arrive at the clinic, managing special food and medication orders to make sure our patients have what they need to thrive, using her animal care experience to assist with treatments, and getting to see a variety of species including wildlife and exotic pets that come through our doors.

Sandra shares life with 9 horses, 3 dogs; “Hugo”, “Honey Bear”, and “Casey”, and two spoiled barn cats “Clyde” and “Princess” at her family farm. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, downhill skiing, and traveling the world with her husband.
